EVERNOW

Menopause Care is Within Reach

Creating an iOS app for a Series-A telehealth startup, available now in the Apple Store.

INTRODUCTION

Evernow: A Menopause Startup

Women going through menopause often face a lack of medical information, specialized treatment, and empathy, making it challenging to understand and cope with symptoms. Evernow, a Series-A telehealth startup, aims to support women during this stage by providing unlimited access to menopause specialists, personalized treatment, and medication plans. To enhance user experience, we, Evernow’s Product Team developed a mobile app, replacing the inconvenient webpage login previously used by members.

Delivering an MVP

Our primary objective was to create and ship an iOS mobile app within 6 months that would provide an engaging and accessible experience for Evernow's members. With a tight timeline requiring early and rapid testing, our cross-functional team enhanced and expanded the platform with new features to support, empower, and educate members.

Identifying a need to attract new members, drive acquisition, and differentiate and strengthen Evernow’s market position, we also ideated a freemium version of the app.

My Role

As the first Senior Product Designer on the cross-functional Customer Journey Agile Squad, I led the app’s end to end UX design process from the concept to in-depth research and iterative sprints and refinements, culminating in its successful launch on the Apple Store in November 2022.

In addition to this project, I simultaneously undertook various other initiatives, including the introduction of a web-based patient portal, new payment models, and new product launches.

MY DESIGN PROCESS

Phase 1: Concept + Discovery

Our cross-functional team of Product, Design, and Engineering had seven months to launch our app from beginning to end. See how we leveraged stakeholder interviews, expert input, competitor research, user journey mapping, and concept testing to define and prioritize features for a minimal viable product (MVP) that would meet our member’s needs.

Phase 2: Beta Version

Our main goal during Phase 2 was to create a beta app to gather member feedback on the features, user flow, and functionality of the design from a select group of current Evernow members. Discover how we achieved a pilot-ready version of the app under tight constraints and how users’ input informed our subsequent design decisions.

Phase 3: Launch + Beyond!

Explore the results of the beta test and the polished and complete UI design that we launched on the Apple Store. Early data surpassed our expectations with high adoption rates, positive feedback from user interviews, and a clear vision for our app 2.0 roadmap.
